Sunday morning gathered worship guidelines:
You must register to attend and please sign up as accurately as possible for the number of people in your family attending.
We provide nurseries and children’s worship during the 9:00 service. Up to 20 children (ages 0-3) in the nurseries, and 10 children (ages 4-5) in the children’s worship (which is during the sermon). You must register your children with the RSVP link is on the right and at the bottom of this page.
Please keep in mind the wide variety of concerns and questions about the COVID-19 virus and as we gather, let’s be considerate of our fellow congregants and be good citizens by following these principles:
Safety is our highest priority. We will follow public health guidelines, work with our medical community and other churches to ensure best practices for gathering.
Expect change. We will proceed carefully, thoroughly assessing worship and ministry offerings and adjust them as needed. Flexibility is important.
Sunday worship plan: We have two services: one at 9:00 AM and the other at 10:30 AM. The service will seat 70 people and we host a livestream option at Online Services.
You must register for the service to attend. This not only helps us with our total capacity and social distancing but also allows for tracing if, unfortunately, we discovered a known case of the virus in our attendees.
You will enter the worship space through the metal gate and patio door and we ask you to keep distance from other families as you enter in the hallway/ doorway.
Everyone present will be required to wear a mask, unless up front to preach, pray, or sing. Please bring your masks from home, but we will have some on hand for those who do not have them.
Please monitor yourself and all in your family regarding your health. If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.
Seating will accommodate social distancing guidelines by leaving 3 chairs between each family unit. Seating ushers will guide you to your seat.
We will be cleaning the entire facility between services.
No coffee or donuts will be served.
We will not pass the offering baskets, but will have an Offering Box near the back door. We also encourage you to give online at www.homewoodcommunitychurch.org/give or mail a check to:
PO Box 890004
Charlotte, NC 28289-0004
We will be using prepackaged communion cups and you will receive them upon entry.
Bathrooms will be available outside the worship room and will be cleaned between services, but we would encourage you to only use these if absolutely necessary.
At the end of the service, staff will dismiss you one row at a time. We will exit the same doors we came in.
Nursery and children’s ministry will not be provided until it is safe to do so. Children are always welcome to attend worship with their parents, and we will be making a special effort to make service shorter (~1 hour) and appropriate for all.RSVP Online
